ANTIOXIDANTS AND ANTI-AGING: THE BENEFITS OF COFFEE
This is a guest post from Sarah at We Dream of Coffee.
Looking for something healthy to help with anti-aging? Or maybe something to give your body a dose of antioxidants?
Good news! It’s probably already it sitting in your kitchen. It’s that wonderful hot cup of coffee. Not only does it please the senses, it also affects your body in positive ways!
Antioxidants and more
Coffee was once dubbed an awful, disgusting-looking liquid that could possibly ruin your health. Today’s world has a different view on coffee – and it turns out there are some super-awesome benefits for your health. It can help reduce the risk of Parkinson’s Disease, give your body antioxidants, reduce inflammation, and even work against several different types of cancer. Who knew?
Antioxidants are the good things we need to help fight off illness or sickness. That favorite mug of coffee in the morning has a concentrated amount of these illness fighters. So, while you’re enjoying the magical taste of coffee, you’re also doing something to protect your body and health. Coffee lovers rejoice!
Anti-aging perks
Not only can coffee help guard your health, some claim it can also help you look better. There have been some scientific studies done (and some not so scientific) on how coffee impacts aging. Some claim the combination of antioxidants and caffeine makes for the perfect anti-aging solution. Others believe the anti-aging effects are only temporary. Either way, if your favorite drink might help you look better, that’s a win!
Plus, it’s no secret coffee is a mood enhancer - something some of us desperately need before we interact with other humans each morning. When your mood is better, you will automatically look better. Coffee's wonderful smell, taste and caffeine boost can help our moods lift pretty quickly.
Coffee is easy to make, relatively inexpensive, and has a whole host of positive reasons to drink it. So, leave your tired, mental fog at the door and enjoy a couple cups of coffee each day.
