We want to hear from you!

YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, WE HAVE ANSWERS!

Do I need a card for everyone in my family?

No, one freshbenies card includes all your IRS dependents (and all your pets, if you’re adding Pet Care Savings). You can order additional cards for $2 each, but it’s not necessary. We know, it sounds too good to be true, but it is true!

What is freshbenies?

How does this work with my health insurance?

freshbenies is a HUGE help for those with great insurance, some insurance or no insurance! For instance, you can't always get your primary care physician on the phone in 10 minutes at 2am to answer a question, get peace of mind or a much-needed medication. With freshbenies, you can call a doctor 24/7 and get a prescription written (no consult fee), if needed! Or, you can email a specialist and get personalized answers to your medical questions within a few hours. Even with insurance, you need help navigating "the system", finding high-quality lower-cost options for care, and organizing or negotiating medical bills. Even with insurance, you can use dental, vision and prescription discounts throughout the year on things that are expensive or not covered by your insurance.

What if I'm not satisfied with the freshbenies card?

No problem...there's a 30 day money-back guarantee and you can cancel at any time beyond that. Just call the number on the back of your card - we're not about roping you into something you don't love!

How is this so inexpensive?

We buy bulk! :-) Really...we have a lot of members who use these services, so we're able to bring a great price to you and your family.

Can I use the 24/7 telehealth service to get medication refills?

If you’re in-between appointments or traveling and need a short-term refill to hold you over, the service may be able to help. Otherwise, “chronic care” prescriptions would come from your family doctor. Click here to learn more.

How many times can I use the Dental/Vision/Pharmacy/Pet Care discounts?

As many times as you need! There's no limit to the savings! AND, you can start using it as soon as you get your freshbenies card in the mail - there's NO waiting!

How does this work with my FSA or HSA?

You can't pay for your freshbenies card with your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) money because freshbenies is not insurance. BUT, a freshbenies card helps keep more of your hard-earned money in the FSA/HSA account. How? Skipping a doctor visit by using the freshbenies 24/7 telehealth service, or emailing a specialist to get medical advice, or getting discounts on allowed dental, vision and prescription expenses.

How do the Dental/Vision/Pharmacy/Pet Care discounts work with my insurance?

Whether you're well insured or not, the discounts work for things your insurance doesn't cover. For instance, you may have great dental and vision insurance, but there are many things you might need throughout a year that aren't covered (orthodontia, whitening, brand name frames, LASIK, any major work beyond your insurance max). The prescription discount is great for drugs that are expensive or not covered by insurance. The same goes for your pet insurance program – grooming, food, boarding aren’t included – this is where the Pet Care discount kicks in.

Can I keep my 1.0 services and add 2.0 services, too?

Unfortunately, we don’t mix the packages :-(

Are the discount networks available in my area?

Click here, locate the service in the tabs on the left, click Locate Providers, enter your zip code and find all the providers in your local area.

How do I know if my prescription has a discount?

Click here, go to the Rx Discounts tab, click the green MyRxPrice.com and enter your medication and dosage. You’ll get a list of prices at all your local participating pharmacies.

Who are the companies that provide the freshbenies services?

The partners who come together to make up the freshbenies card services are highly reputable companies, experts in their field and stand the test of time and scrutiny. Although some of our partners are household names, many sell these services only to large corporations. At freshbenies, we make it simple by pulling them all together into one easy-to-use card that takes the headache out of healthcare (and more).

Should I buy an “Individual” or “Family” LifeLock plan?

If there are just two of you in your family, purchase the “Individual” LifeLock. Once you receive your membership, you can add a spouse or child (for $10). If you have 3 or more members in your family, your best value is the Family membership.

Can't I wait to buy the freshbenies card when I or someone in my family need the services?

No, it takes 5-7 days to get the card and info packet to you in the mail before you can access the services. So, for a few dollars a month, you should just do it now so you'll be ready when sickness looms and you can use the services when you need them!

Can I start using the services immediately?

Unfortunately, no. We need time to get your membership set up with our partner companies before you can start using the services. As soon as you become a member, your member packet goes into the mail and takes 7-10 business days to get to you. Once you get that, you'll have full access to the benies!

What is the difference between the “Telehealth” and “Doctors Online” services?

  • and more!

Does freshbenies disqualify an HSA?

To date, there is no ruling from regulators as to whether a $0 consult fee telehealth program disqualifies an HSA. Most of our clients provide a freshbenies card alongside an HSA, but we suggest consulting your legal counsel. We have a freshbenies card with a $40 telehealth consult fee for employers who would rather go that route.

We have a freshbenies 1.0 package(s). What if we want access to the new 2.0 services?

Just contact your broker or helpme@freshbenies.com and we can get all or some of your employees moved over, as you request.

Who’s included in a membership?

A freshbenies card includes an employee and all their IRS dependents (and all pets are included in the Pet Care Savings). One exception: LifeLock is available as an Individual or a Family plan.

Does this come under Section 125 pre-tax rules?

No, because freshbenies is non-insurance. However, the cost is still a business expense if you provide them for your employees. Also, as a result, you don’t have to follow Section 125’s non-discrimination rules. Therefore, these services can be provided or not provided to employees as you wish.

What’s the set up process?

It’s very simple and includes 2 pieces of information: a one-page e-signed contract and an employee-only Excel census. For Voluntary or to offer Add-Ons, there is a one-page Payroll Deduction form. If these are submitted by the 15th, we’ll have member materials in-hand by the 1st.

How do I know my employees will like and use the services?

Read some of our member testimonials – employees love freshbenies. Follow our best practices when you launch - employers who do this experience utilization with savings well above the cost. When implemented properly, freshbenies can pay for itself many times over.

Can my employees use the Telehealth service for a doctor’s note?

Yes, employees have the option to request and download a doctor’s note after a consultation.

How do I explain all the services to employees?

We have many options to help communicate freshbenies to employees. Showing a quick, fun video and including a simple one-page flyer in a benefits meeting is a great start. We follow up with a full member packet for each employee that we can send to you to distribute or mail directly to each employee.

What’s included in the member intro packet?

Each employee receives 2 high-quality freshbenies cards and a simple Info Booklet that provides all the information they need to know about how/when/why to use the services and who to contact if they have questions.

How does the Advocacy service know my employee’s information?

The Advocates are trained to ask the right questions of employees about their medical/dental/vision plans to get the info needed to help. Groups of 100+ can complete a profile outlining all their benefit plans. This way, when an employee calls in, the Advocate has all their information ahead of time.

Why should I buy freshbenies if my medical plan includes telehealth?

Just having access to telehealth doesn’t mean your employees will use it. The typical medical carrier version charges your employee a consult fee. As a result, an average carrier’s telehealth plan gets 2% usage - freshbenies gets 35% usage. Add to that the additional savings from Doctors Online, Advocacy, Prescription Savings, and more - there’s a clear picture of value for many employers. Also, when you change your medical plan in the next few years, your employees will have to rebuild their medical history profile for the next carrier’s telehealth program - freshbenies is carrier-agnostic and continues no matter how your group health plan changes.

Does the price change whether I have a Broker or not?

We almost always work through Brokers - the prices are the same regardless.

Why should I sell freshbenies if I already have direct contracts with suppliers?

freshbenies may be a little more expensive than each service sold separately, but most employers need all the services in a freshbenies card. Add to that a member engagement program that works. Which brings us to the best reason: our card gets more usage than your stand-alone program. freshbenies bundles services that complement each other and today’s medical plans. As we say, like peanut butter and chocolate, the services are better together.

Why should I sell freshbenies if the medical carriers include telehealth?

Just having access to telehealth doesn’t mean your employees will use it. An average carrier telehealth plan gets 2% usage - freshbenies gets 35% telehealth usage because of the $0 consult fee and our employee engagement program. Add to that the additional savings from Doctors Online, Advocacy, Prescription Savings, and there’s a clear picture of value for many employers and their employees.
